The Blue Dragons are avatars of Shalassa, the Dragon Goddess of Water. While they like sea cliffs and fjords, they can also often be found in cooler places such as mountains. The Nagas can communicate with these powerful beings and ask for their help when needed.
Just as water turns to ice and snow is cooler for them, so too the Blue Dragons who have lived in high cool mountains for a long time turn into Ice Dragons, avatars of Mashana, the icy aspect of Shalassa. The scales of these dragons look like ice and sparkle with a million colors in the cool mountain sun. These majestic reptiles are as dangerous as they are beautiful.
